The old magnetometric method is the best exploratory geophysics method. It has many similarities with gravimetric methods in principles and even interpretation. But usually this method is more complicated and the changes in the magnetic field are more irregular and local than the acceleration of the earth’s gravity.

Magnetic measurement is simpler and cheaper than other geophysical methods and does not require corrections. Magnetic field changes are usually the expression of mineralization structures and local structures, and the magnetic method is the most used geophysical method among mineral exploration techniques. Like all conventional methods, the results of the magnetic method can be expressed and interpreted.
